Life at Camp Paws
Hey Camper!
We are SO excited to show you around where your dog will be romping, playing, and even napping here at Camp Paws!
Zack and I (Priscilla) are a husband-and-wife team who take care of your puppies right from our home so your babies can experience maximum comfort and minimal stress. Here’s a sneak peek into our setup!
This is where your pups will be running, playing, and socializing with their friends! Surprisingly, the bench has been a huge hit for nap time, though the ground around it is much softer. Toys are plentiful, and when the pool is out, they all end up wet! The shade is a huge addition to their space, especially in the California weather, and it adds so much more time they get to enjoy the pool! We think that the dogs’ favorite part of their day is either chasing each other around and around, or rolling and itching their backs on the turf.
You have sharp eyes if you saw our enrichment corner hiding in the yard photo!
This is where all the solo fun happens. Front and center is our Scent Space, where your dog can come in to hunt for treats, sniff out different animals, and even rummage through different piles! Each dog will have their favorite station, which one will yours like?
We have plants starting out as well for your dogs to inspect! Dogs naturally love to sniff new scents and forage, so our up-and-coming herb garden is sure to be a hit. Don’t judge me for the current state of my herb planter… I have something like a red thumb 😅 Though if you have tips, I wouldn’t say no to them!
On the far side is our Slatmill for high drive, high energy dogs to enjoy! This is a great opportunity for you to let your dog finally run at their own pace, no matter how fast, without worrying about them running off. That’s why we love the Slatmill so much. It gives dogs who need it an outlet to burn off their energy, making the rest of their day and training much more calm and cooperative!
For our overnight Campers, we have reserved a room for everyone! Each pup gets their own space to eat and sleep, never needing to worry about other dogs coming into their space. While Zack and I are unable to supervise them, each dog will be in their own crate to keep them safe! These are the roomy XL Ruffland Kennels which are among the safest on the market right now, and we are proud to be able to provide this additional layer of safety for the peace of mind of our Campers’ parents.
